Trafalgar Wharf Goes Green with a Massive Solar Installation

Powering Up with Solar Energy

We are excited to share that we have successfully completed a monumental solar power system at Trafalgar Wharf, bringing sustainable energy to our site and making a significant impact on the environment.

Harnessing the Sun’s Power

Situated atop the Trafalgar Drystack building, Europe’s largest indoor dry boat storage unit, our solar installation is a sight to behold. With a capacity of 640 kW, it has been generating clean, renewable electricity since March, and the results are impressive.

In just a few months, we have produced a staggering 223 megawatt hours of green power.

To truly grasp the magnitude of our solar initiative, let’s dive into some impressive figures. The 223 megawatt hours of clean electricity generated by our solar installation is equivalent to powering electric vehicles for approximately 743,333 miles.

Yes, you read that right. That’s a distance that could take you around the Earth over 29 times! Now that’s what we call a renewable energy revolution.

A Step towards Sustainability

By harnessing the sun’s energy, our solar installation serves as a sustainable power source for the various buildings and businesses within our vibrant site. We are proud to support the transition towards a more eco-friendly Portsmouth area.
